Dr. Elliott Swift earned his PhD in Theatre from New York University. He studied acting with Stella Adler, Herbert Burghof, and Frank Corsaro. He was a member of all the professional acting unions: Actors Equity Association, Screen Actors Guild, and the American Film, Television and Radio Actors; and was invited to be a member of the Actors Studio Playwrights/Directors Unit. As an actor, he performed in Off-Broadway, film and television productions. He also taught acting at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC, the University of Texas at El Paso, the University of New Mexico, the University of Rijeka in Croatia, the Academy of Theatre and Film in Bucharest, Romania and the University of Balamand in Lebanon. His approach to acting combines the techniques of Stanislavski, Lee Strasberg, Sanford Meisner, Stella Adler and Joe Chaikin. It includes physical and vocal exercises, improvisation, acting exercises, monologues, scene study and audition techniques.  The emphasis of this class is on having fun and improving one’s acting skills.
